Toy Shop Boy's universe is filled with nostalgic relics and recovered objects – what he calls “a virtual toy shop located in your imagination.” He draws inspiration from the overlooked ephemera of consumer culture – old packaging, toy catalogues, forgotten ads. This piece evokes memories of playing Mahjong all night with friends, alongside with cup noodles which are the best midnight snacks for a long Mahjong session.
